How to Use the BlackBerry Browser
You can access the Net browser on your BlackBerry through the BlackBerry Browser, an application specially developed by RIM for enterprise environments. Otherwise, it is basically called Net browser. The BlackBerry tool can support two browsers, the one established by default by your mobile phone provider & the enterprise BlackBerry browser. If your phone is custom-made for business only, then the enterprise management may choose to delete the second browser.
The menu option from the browser makes Net navigation faster & simpler, offering plenty of facilities:
- Get Link: opens the page of the link. You can also opt for pressing Enter, it opens the world wide web page faster
- Find: it helps you find text on the open page by typing the words you are looking for in the Fin text field
- Go To: opens a web page after you entered the e-mail address & click Ok. The more addresses you enter, the larger the list with saved links, helping you save time by typing again the link. In order to delete this list, you can empty the cache
- Copy: it copies the text you select in order to paste it in other document
- Paste: it keeps in memory the selected text from other pages & automatically pastes it somewhere else
- Home: it takes you to the home page set by default. You can always change the Home address by accessing Options & selecting Browser Configuration
- Back: it brings you back to the earlier web page
- Forward: it takes you to progress to different web pages
- Refresh: a very important command, it instantly updates the page you opened
- History: here is where you can see the links you historicallyin the past visited. It supports a web history of up to 20 web addresses
