Sony Ericsson W395, Mobile Small Affordable
Like his predecessors, Sony Ericsson Walkman series is characterized by a unique key to icons W. This time round the usual Walkman, and placed under the Call-in line with the C (Clear).
The Walkman is very easy to control because the navigation buttons made player; note icon Back, Play / Pause, Next row in the navigation left, center and right.
Because this series belong to mid-low end, setting the standard in the Walkman only. There Play modes (Shuffle, Loop), Equalizer (Flat, Bass, Treble, Classic, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Disco, Vocal, Old-time), stereo widening, Visualizations (album art, Visualizations, Off), Skins (White skin, Orange skin, Off), and Light effects.
What is interesting to note, some options in the equalizer can be reset. While Light effects, as the name implies, gives effect to the keypad backlight when the song was played.
W395 still include Play Now, Sony Ericsson’s innate shortcut that allows download songs and games from Sony Ericsson site. If you prefer to browse alone, we could use the WAP browser on the Internet. EDGE W395 is only supported, but the signal was not bad for browsing or downloads.
Speaker divided 2, above (adjacent to the camera) and below. Volume 2-way right there on the body, the top. The resulting sound was clear, though set at the highest volume.
On the left menu are listed by default to open Music. But this is different with the Walkman, for the Music folder automatically opens and plays music files stored on it. Unlike the Walkman can play song files from the folder you select.
Radio
W395 also has FM radio, which normally requires a headset is connected to the radio function. Sony complete with TrackID and RDS.
Signals do not see any automatic signal search; that there is only a set frequency. There are only 9 slots in Channels. But there Stereo mode (Turn on Mono, Turn on Stereo) and the speakers on.
Camera
The camera is behind, in the upper left corner. This can be used to take pictures or record videos. Camera button on the right body, approximately parallel to the screen.
The maximum picture size for photos of course 2MP (1600×1200). Sony Ericsson preparing Shoot mode (Normal, Burst), Night mode, Self-timer (None, 5, 10, 15 seconds), Pic quality (Fine, Normal), Effects (None, Sepia, Negative, Black & white), and white balance (Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Fluorescent, Incandescent). For video only prepared Video length (Normal, for pic msg).
After take picture, images can be directly sent to the blog (this blog), or the fox again (Photo fix, Add effect). While the video can be played directly (Play).
Signal found in the Entertainment Video player. Movie files can be sent via Bluetooth, or used as wallpaper or ringtone.
Capacity and Connectivity
M2 slot is placed in an unusual place: on the body, near the left end. Closing the color of the case made him recognized immediately. Units which received signals are fitted with 1GB capacity M2. Sony Ericsson is reportedly going to give bonus M2 in the package.
Port data cable, which at once for the charger and to a headset, was in the left body. When connected to a PC with data cable, there is an option Phone mode, PictBridge and Mass storage.
PictBridge allows you to print photos directly from the phone to a printer. We tried it by plugging the data cable between the phone and printer. Mass storage while making the phone as storage. When we tried it, the PC read the 2 drives in the phone, one of the internal memory and one from M2.
Oh yeah, W395 has Bluetooth. This can be used to wear a headset to Bluetooth.
Design
Small body and bright colors are appropriate for young people, such as Sony Ericssson targeted. They say Sony Ericsson will release this series in 2 colors: Blush Titanium as we receive and Dusky Gray.
Though tiny, the keypad buttons are quite right to push. Some people argue that the knobs a bit slippery, especially when the finger sweating.
Keypad is hidden in the sliding body. Conditions automatically close the slide-lock buttons. Even so, we still can activate the menu button on the bottom of the screen to hit the left menu, and then push the right menu.
