Ericsson launches new mobile broadband modules designed specifically to provide high-speed wireless connectivity for consumer electronics devices (Consumer Electronics – CE) a new generation.

Along with increasing demands for freedom and mobility in the broadband (broadband), Ericsson CE module is a far leap for the world to communicate with each other.

Intended to be implemented in an e-book readers, GPS navigators, and portable consumer electronics devices more popular, CE module has the potential to be integrated into the media player, durable goods and more, as mobile broadband has become part of daily life day. With a victory in the realm of business consumer electronic devices, Ericsson module allows the producers and manufacturers are able to embrace the lifestyle always connected.

Ericsson’s new module, called the CE C3607w, offering equipment manufacturers who have a flexible solution for consumer electronics devices to create innovative and intuitive design by doubling the processor and connectivity. Measuring only a third of the size of previous Ericsson modules, C3607w packaged with an approved program operator and have the protection of intellectual property rights (IPR) so that the integration process and less time consuming.

“Our vision is clear, all connected devices can be connected in accordance with the requirements of the technology because the world has come to communicate to each other. This module opens a new nature to the possibility and innovation for consumer electronics devices industry, because they can now integrate the power and speed of mobile broadband with easy and cost-effective using existing devices today and in the future, “said Mats Norin, Vice President, Ericsson Mobile Broadband Modules.

This module emphasizes the progress C3607w Ericsson’s collaboration with Intel, which announced last year and brought HSPA mobile data solutions to Intel’s platform “Moorestown” based MIDS. Although compatible with various platforms, this CE module shows progress toward goals in Ericsson and Intel to jointly bring computing and telecommunications industries and extends the mobile broadband ecosystem of consumer electronics devices.

C3607w a mobile broadband module the smallest, lightweight and fast to the present, and able to walk with a speed of 5.75 Mbps with lower power consumption by 40 percent compared with the previous modules. Equipped with features wake-on-Ericsson that enables wireless wake-up command from the sleep mode, this CE module also makes sets of security applications and new messages.

Module C3607w consumer electronic devices will be available on Ericsson’s first quarter 2010.
