European communications satellite into orbit

Kazakhstan – telecommunications satellite that will serve the European region reported successfully achieved orbit, after launch from the Baikonur base, Kazakhstan, last Friday.
As reported by AFP, Sunday (5/4/2009), the European communications satellite was transported by Russia’s Proton rocket M.
“The satellite was successfully launched as planned, and currently under the control of Eutelsat,” said an official with Russia’s space agency, Roskosmos.
Eutelset W2A satellite was launched, designed to help multimedia transmission services, such as television and the network for mobile phones.
